Official version 5.0 release for Echo tools

We are happy to announce the Echo tools 5.0 upgrade! The software upgrades are now available on Cloud and come with exciting new features, such as video quality testing (supports video sources like Netflix, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube) and further improvements to our powerful Echo Scanbox Pro scanner. Also, we’ve made significant UI improvements to Echo Studio, providing users with more ways to view data and access to a wider range of key parameters and KPIs. Get ready for a smoother workflow, as all our tools have received numerous workflow improvements and important bug fixes to enhance your overall experience.

Below, you’ll find a preview of some of these innovative upgrades! For a comprehensive list of upgrades for other Echo tools, please see the detailed sections after the preview.

Test video quality MOS with Echo tools! We support ITU-T P1203 standard-based testing using AVEQ Surfmeter for the most popular platforms in the world, such as YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook. View the MOS on your Echo One device and analyze it with Echo Studio.

Data quality testing is now available with our predefined models for constant low, constant medium, constant high, constant long, e-Gaming real-time, interactive remote meeting, video chat HD, and remote drone control patterns. These ETSI TR 103 702 specified test cases allow network data performance testing for different traffic profiles.

The Scanbox Pro is our advanced, affordable scanner solution; it supports comprehensive testing from 2G to 5G networks. Operate the Scanbox Pro seamlessly with the Echo One (phone) or Echo Plus (tablet) applications. We have upgraded the Scanbox and added GSM; LTE consistently connects to the strongest available signal, and 5G covers different bands simultaneously and remains accessible even on weaker cells. Scanbox Pro is now delivering seamless performance across all technologies.

Echo Studio is more user-friendly and flexible than ever. We’ve unified data access and now present all results in an intuitive table-based format. The parameter tree contains several new parameters and KPIs. Also, data analysis is faster as, when you select a measurement, Echo Studio upgrades the parameter tree, allowing you to quickly view and group results. For example, group Cell ID to calculate the average RSRP during executed tests. To add to the flexibility, you can also now add filters directly to parameters without needing to recall specific values like Cell IDs. These are just some of the great upgrades to our Echo Studio!

Take a look at the image below for smaller upgrades that deliver big leaps in usability.
